Food For Thought Tasting Series: Amaranth - The Ancient Grain

Amaranth is a plant and food used for millennia in countless parts of the world and yet, is entirely forgotten in our supermarket spaces and time.

We invite you to join us on August 25th or September 15th to discover the cultural roots, botanical nature, spiritual ecologies, and diverse flavours of amaranth. We’ll tour ChocoSol’s green roof garden to witness this gorgeous plant in full bloom as harvest season nears. Next, we’ll dive deeper into the histories and ritual significance of the plant, learning and tasting exclusive, workshop-only creations such as amaranth Atole, chocolate Alegrias, black bean & sweet potato amaranth tamales, rich jaguar chocolate amaranth drinks, lots of chocolate bites and more!
